Sports for children

The FHL: Football Hockey Link is a non-profit organization that is committed to supporting the integration of culturally diverse children and youth into Canadian society by facilitating their
involvement in Canadian football and hockey associations.
We thank Oleksandr Lebid at SWANS Production for this amazing video!

What is FHL Society?

FHL: Football Hockey Link offers a unique approach to supporting immigrant children and youth in integrating into Canadian society.

Culturally diverse children learn the basics of football and hockey through summer sports camps, and other activities through out the year, in order to gain an understanding of two great Canadian sports.  Kids and families are then supported by FHL in connecting to their local sports associations.
We believe that getting involved in the community sports leagues will foster greater sense of belonging in the community!

We provide our sports camps at NO COST thanks to the support from our community partners: Calgary Stampeders, Hockey Calgary, University Dinos Football Team and First Student Canada!

You are welcome to contact either of our directors with any questions about enrolling your child in our team! Or feel free to contact us through our contact form.

The Football Hockey Link acknowledges the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Wesley First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to Metis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. The Football Hockey Link acknowledges the impact of colonization on Indigenous peoples in Canada and is committed to our collective journey towards reconciliation to create a welcome and inclusive campus that encourages Indigenous ways of knowing, doing, connecting and being.
